What can you do today if you are confronted with INFORMATION OVERLOAD, new to Internet Marketing and you really want to succeed Online? There is so much stuff on the net, about the net, things to buy, offers coming in your email, to your Twitter account, through your snail mail, hanging on your door,on TV, Radio, Newspapers, Pop ups, pop-under ads, peal-away ads, exit generated ads, and More!.........STOP! What is a newbie to do? The temptation is to buy all of the newest, latest and greatest offers that you see. And I speak from experience here. I bought so much stuff that I had childhood flashbacks of Christmas dreams with so many toys to choose from I was overwhelmed. Truly a dream situation if you are a child, but if you are new to the IM, that is the last thing you need to do! Here's what it looks like if you make that mistake. Most likely, you will procrastinate, spend too much time on things that will not advance your business at all. Or you will spend too much time in the chat rooms, on Twitter, or with other time consuming projects. And worst case, you will spend more money than you have and have nothing to show for it. Friends will call, family will need you, your real job requires time and energy, and you won't have a clue where the money or time went when the day ends. In this type of economy, you need to focus more than ever on the real tasks at hand. What are the real tasks? What should a Internet Marketing Newbie do every day? How do you balance your "other life" and your passion for business? How do you figure out what to do? It really seems so complicated! And then you open your email and get distracted from even learning this simple lesson that is before you now! There should be a "Take Away" something you learn from every Webinar, conference calls, and trainings. I recently listened to an exclusive interview with Online Marketing Genius, Mike Dillard ("Magnetic Sponsoring" and "Black Belt Recruiting" fame). One take-away for me inspired this blog post. Here are three things you can do today to further your success ratio for the coming months.
1. Master ONE Traffic Building System until you have 30-50 leads per day. It does not matter if it is Pay Per Click or YouTube, etc. 2. Learn and Master Traffic Conversion once the leads come in: close a sale, get them to opt in to your newsletter, blog, etc.... 3. And last, but most importantly, distance yourself as a leader, call your prospects and be willing to share something you know, tell them the next step in the process and tell them to call you when it is done!If you want to build a business, you have to pick pick something to do and focus to get the job done.
